Our Feckless Leader.

Look at the date on that thing. Any changes?

Guess what? You have the talent and foresight to pierce through the bull shit. I dunno if that's good...or bad. Prob'ly good. I'm not happy with The Shrub anyway. Don't get Mom started on him...she thinks he's just fine, doing the best he can. Yuh...sending our boys home in caskets.

Sadly enough, no changes...

Maybe your mom is into population control?

Those boys won't breed? Or pass on violent genes?

Yes, I think Bush IS doing the best he can. It's just not very good.

Hope I didn't offend. I kinda like Bush, but I pretty much stay out of politics. I guess I shouldn't comment on things I don't understand, huh? Just seeing soldiers get kidnapped and killed gets you down.
As far as WACOM tablets, if you had the chance to use one, would you? Drawing with a mouse is not easy, especially if you have unsteady hands like I do. Mario Paint is still fun, but I prefer a hands-on approach. I'll give it the old college try.

Kidnapping soldiers is a tactic; it exhausts, limits and re-directs the energies and goals of the enemy. It's an acceptable wartime technique, and not illegal.

Killing and being killed is part of soldier's job description. A rough part, but normal, nevertheless. I find the modern sentimentality about soldiers being killed -- and the emotions expressed by their comrades, who knew the risks -- to be a little odd, considering the histories of the world's militaries. I wonder just how much preliminary training on the realities of the field are being extended to the soldiers. Somebody doesn't seem to be doing their job, getting the truth out.

Other war myths handed soldiers: Kill the other side's leaders and they can't lead themselves. All the insurgents are outside agitators (based in viewpoints from our own abolitionist past). Armies can beat determined partisans.

If you want to feel sorry, feel for the biggest kill-count in modern war: women and kids. They didn't sign on for that, and they don't get special training, armor or combat pay.

I don't care for Bush because I'm an intelligent, educated person who does not care to be lied to by a puppet boob. It's insulting. Especially one who threatens my life and my health care.

Sure, I'd use a Wacom. I've had a cheap version (now kaput).

I've seen this one before: it was and is extremely apt.

I've always loved political cartoons of this sort. Bravo, and brilliant use of contrast. It's a very immediate, arresting image.
